The best-selling Audi is now even more attractive: Audi is refreshing the A4 family. New solutions for the engines, chassis and infotainment are being added to the Sedan, Avant, allroad quattro and S4 models, making them even more sporty and efficient.

The models in Audi’s midsize class – the Audi A4 and its predecessor, the Audi 80 – constitute the heart of the brand. The company recently celebrated a true milestone in production.

The Audi A4 – in sedan and Avant form – is a winner in the mid-size category. Its available engines offer strong performance coupled with high efficiency. They are every bit an expression of the brand’s technical expertise as are the sporty handling and the numerous convenience and infotainment features taken directly from the full-size category.

Audi has been named the number one luxury brand for best total cost of ownership in a new report released this week by Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com, a leading provider of new car and used car information.

An Audi engine earned a spot on the prestigious Ward’s 10 Best Engines Award for the ninth time in the past 11 years. The listing for 2011, just released by Ward’s, named the 3.0 TFSI Supercharged DOHC V6 in the Audi S4 among the world’s most advanced powertrains.

Audi is further improving the efficiency of its models. Starting immediately, two new versions of the best-selling A4 that consume less fuel than ever are available in Germany.

The most important European vehicle safety tester, “European New Car Assessment Programme” (Euro NCAP), has presented the Audi A4 with its coveted “Euro NCAP Advanced” award at the Paris Motor Show. Following the five star rating in the regular “Euro NCAP” crash test program, the Audi A4 has now been rewarded for its Audi side assist lane change assistant. The crash testers are all agreed: The active assistance system supports the driver and can help to prevent accidents.

The biggest survey of German car owners has just been published, and two prizes have gone to the Audi A4, A8 and S8. In the Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study organized by J.D. Power, the Audi A8 and S8 are well ahead of the field, and the editors of the car magazine “Auto TEST” chose the Audi A4 as “2010 AUTO TEST Champion” in silver.

Audi has continued its success story in the “Best Cars of 2010” readers’ poll conducted by the magazine “auto motor und sport” (ams). Readers voted three Audi models – the Audi A4, R8 Spyder and Audi Q5 – into first place in their categories. Second places for the Audi A3, A6 and R8 Coupé rounded out the outstanding result.

Delivering the latest in digitally enhanced audio, extra programming and advanced data services, Audi of America today announced that it will offer HD Radio Technology as a standard feature on some of its 2011 models, including the A6, A8 and Q7. HD Radio Technology will also be available via the optional navigation radio in the 2011 A4, A5 and Q5 models. All models will be available at U.S. Audi dealerships by Fall 2010.
